 We, at the Thakur Educational Trust
believe that true education is one that develops the overall
personality of individuals. Therefore at Thakur College of
Science we take care that academics is complemented by
co-curricular, extracurricular and sports activities. It has
been our endeavor to offer best of such facilities to
students.
As in-charge Trustee of the Institution, I assure you that a

Thakur Junior College was
Established in 1992 in order to cater to the need of students
passing SSC examination from school in and around Kandivali,
including those from Thakur Vidya Mandir which had already
established itself as one of the leading school in the area.
With an initial strength of 56 students in of F.Y.J.C
(Commerce) class in 1992, the College witnessed a spectacular
growth over the year. At present it accommodates about 5,000
student in Commerce and Science streams. The College has
become one of the leading Junior College in the city of Mumbai
and has posted consistently good results in the past few
years. As a natural consequence of the immense confidence
reposed by the students and their parents in the Junior
College, the Degree section was established in 1997 in order
to provide continuity in their pursuit of higher education.
The Thakur College of Science & Commerce, with a total of
3,600 students on its roll, is already making its mark in the
field of academics, sports and extra curricular activities.
Thakur College of Science & Commerce has already formed a
nucleus for a vibrant educational complex with Thakur College
of Engineering & Technology, Thakur Institute of Management
Studies and Research, Thakur Institute of Management Studies,
Career Development and Resurch (MCA) spread over few acres of
campus.
